 DINNELL CIRCLE D HORSES,
LLC, located
east of St. Ignatius, in the beautiful Mission Valley
in Western Montana (about halfway between Missoula and Flathead Lake) is
home to some of the best bloodlines in speed Quarter Horses today!
Exemplifying the finest
in
pedigree, conformation, substance and disposition in speed horses is
Circle D's outstanding stallion,
Rare News,
speed index 92. He is a son of the best sire in the history of Quarter Horse
racing, First Down Dash.
Rare News
is a horse with
a lot of body,
beauty and intelligence. This powerful, thick-boned horse
was a multiple graded stakes performer at Los Alamitos. He had two wins
and was three times 2nd. Rare News was a finalist in the Kindergarten Futurity-G1 (placed 5th), Governor's Cup Futurity-G1, and MBNA America California Challenge
Championship-G2. Rare News was also a finalist in
the PCQHRA Handicap and the San Diego Handicap. He earned $43,758 on the track. Rare News defeated the likes of many
racing greats, such as 2005 Champion Aged Mare Mini Rock,
si 102 ($439,979)!
We are pleased with
the interest Rare News has generated in owners of high-quality mares—and
we are very impressed with his first
few crops of foals.
Rare News has stamped them
with
size, good bone and muscle. Additionally, they are very willing, intelligent,
confident and calm.
His
oldest foals are 4-year-olds of
2009.

WITH JUST 22 FOALS to go to the track, Rare News is the sire of
16 ROM (10 with 90+ speed indexes, 2 with 100+ speed indexes), 9 winners,
7 stakes-finalists (including 1 graded stakes finalist), 1 THREE-TIME STAKES
WINNER, and 1 twice stakes-placed horse. He is the sire of
Little Love Affair,
2009 Horse of the Year at
North Dakota Horse Park, the
2009 North Dakota
2-Year-Old Racing Champion, and Just A Rumor,
2010 Northwest Region High
Point Champion Aged Mare!
Several of his get are being trained
for barrel racing. Trainers really like them, owners with one Rare
News foal want another.
Circle D
is also home to
outstanding mares. Intermingled with conformation, speed and good
production history in our broodmares is the
blood of horses with
good minds. These
strong
mares, crossed with Rare News (or other
carefully selected sires) produce foals suited for speed—on the track or around the
barrels—while their good
minds give them the disposition for performance in the arena or on the ranch, too.
WE SPEND A LOT OF
TIME
with our foals. They are imprinted
at birth, and therefore easy to work
with. Each well-started colt and filly is trusting, willing to work, and
easy to love! We pay careful attention to
nutrition, vaccinations, de-worming and hoof care.
IN ADDITION to introducing you to our
horses, this site
will also acquaint you with some of the
great horses,
past and
present, whose blood—and
hopefully whose
heart—is in our program.
WE
RAISE OUR HORSES TO SELL. If you
see a
horse you are interested in or have questions about, please
e-mail
us with questions, and we will get back
to you.
