Another filly -- and
she's beautiful! After a bit of a difficult delivery,
Charlys Ragtime Band had the
largest foal she's ever had, a beautiful dark brown filly by
Rare News, early in the morning of April
6, 2007.
BLUES
NEWS looks great -- pretty
head, nice angles, good legs, nice hip
and shoulder, great bone --
she arrived literally kicking her way out of her mother and ready to
run!
BLUES NEWS
is
from the third foal crop of her sire,
Rare News (by All-Time Leading Sire
First
Down Dash). She is the fifth foal out of her
dam Charlys Ragtime Band (a race
winning
producer and a 100% race ROM producer from two foals to start.
There are 10 starts between her two foals, and from those
10 starts, her foals
have been in the money
6 times).
HER
second
dam, Its Gotta Be Charley,
si 105 (by Too
Tidy) is a
stakes winner
with a record of 7 wins, 2
seconds and
1 third from 11 starts in Quarter Horse races. She won the Idaho QHBA
Derby and was a finalist in the Boise Derby. One of
her two foals
to race earned a ROM.
Third dam, Town
Of Plenty, si 86 (by
Little Town, si 100) was a race winner and a
stakes producer.
She was dam of
7 foals, 3 to race, all winners, all ROM.
Fourth
dam, Fair Nola TB
(by Colonel
Mack, son
of
Princequillo) was a
four-time race winner in Thoroughbred
races. Fair Nola was dam of five horses to race, 3 winners.
BLUES NEWS was born with good bone and pack ing
a lot of muscle. She is energetic, independent and very well made. She has the nicest
shoulder and a great hip -- a lot of power here. She is very quick and
athletic -- and shows great potential for the track or arena.
Blues
News is aware of everything going on around her and
demonstrates
boldness as she checks things out. Like Charly's other foals,
Blues News is also a sweetheart -- friendly, curious and calm.
She's very pretty,
too.
Blues
News is eligible for the
Speedhorse Races, Speedhorse Barrel Races, Bitterroot,
Beehive, Rocky Mountain Classic, Northern Plains Futurity, Kansas Jackpot,
and VGBRA Barrel Futurity. She will be Challenge n ominated.
Blues
News is offered for sale. She's priced at
$5,000 $4,500 and a FREE 2008
breeding to Rare News (for an approved mare) goes with her. She will be
ready to go when she is weaned, sometime in August.
