2005 Sorrel AQHA Mare

Separatist - The Rainbow Riva, Zevi TB

Royally bred daughter of 3-Time Champion & Leading Sire Separatist

out of a stakes-winning, big producing Zevi mare, The Rainbow Riva, si 95.

She's a half-sister to The Rainbow Rea, si 117,

dam of the Reacorona, fastest qualifier for the

Four Corners Futurity-G3.

She's a talented stakes finalist herself with a 97 speed index &

3 seconds & 1 third from 7 starts as a 2-year-old.

PEDIGREE          THE RAINBOW RIVA          SEPARATIST

DK GIVE ALITTLE BIT, si 97,  is a beautiful, royally bred chestnut filly by Three-Time Champion Separatist out of a big producing mare, The Rainbow Riva, by Zevi TB.

Injuries prevented DK Give Alittle Bit ("Katie") from a promising race career as a 2-year-old. From just 7 starts, DK Give Alittle Bit was a stakes finalist (4th John Hoak/Capitol Futurity), earned a 97 speed index, and finished with 3 seconds and 1 third. She earned $5,606. No one knows how good this little horse with a big heart might have been. In all but her first start and her last start (when she was injured), she never finished a race with a speed index of less than a 90. In spite of ailments, she always fought with everything she had.

her dam is a good producer -- winners of about $160,000 -- her sire is the great Separatist, and this nice sorrel filly has the pedigree, conformation, intelligence and heart to make a name for herself as a broodmare.

Her dam, The Rainbow Riva, si 95 (by Zevi TB), is a 4-time winner (in 6 starts at 2), with earnings of $20,049. She won the Cowboy Classic Futurity-G3. The Rainbow Riva is dam of 10 foals of racing age, 6 winners, 10 ROM, with earnings of $171,798 -- including:

  •   The Rainbow Rea, si 117 (by Dash Ta Fame), 8 wins, $77,906, 2nd Utah Classic Futurity-RG1, American-Canadian Futurity-G3, Diamond Classic Derby-RG3, and Mile High Maturity. Finalist Oquirrh Futurity-RG3, Silver Dollar Futurity-RG3, Utah Classic Derby-RG3, and she set a new track record at Sunray Park, 350 yards in 0:17.270. The Rainbow Rea is the dam of Reas Fast Man, si 95 (by Heza Fast Man), stakes-placed winner, $50,044, 2nd Four Corners Futurity-G3, 3rd Animas Handicap; Reacorona, si 106 (by Corona For Me), 3-time winner, $49,643, 4th West Texas Futurity-G1, finalist Four Corners Futurity-G3; and The Rainbow Style, si 92 (by Stylus), 2 wins to 3, $16,262, finalist Silver Dollar Futurity-RG2.
  •   Separate Rainbow, si 93 (by Separatist), 2 wins at 2, $39,620, 3rd Heritage Place Futurity-G1, finalist Remington Futurity-G1. Sire.
  •   The Rainbow Rivachic, si 98 (by Chicks Beduino), winner, $26,769, finalist Rocky Mountain Futurity-G3, AQHA Derby Challenge-G3 (5th place), Oklahoma Challenge-G3 (5th place).

DK Give Alittle Bit's 2nd dam, Watch Mighty May, si 92 (by Tiny Watch), is a 5-time winner with earnings of $4,766. She is dam of 9 foals, 8 to race, 5 winners, all ROM, including: The Rainbow Riva, stakes winner (above); Mighty Marcus. si 84 (by Doc Marcus TB), 4 wins, $14,474; and May Ramble, si 99 (by Sir Rambler), 7 wins, $10,894.

Third dam, May Day Rocket, si 95 (by Rocket Feller), had 6 wins in 11 starts to 3. She was 2nd in the Magna Downs Derby. May Day Rocket is dam of 10 starters, 6 winners, 7 ROM, including: Alamitos May, si 98 (by Alamitos Bar), 5 wins at 2 and 3, $27,230, Las Ninas Handicap, 2nd Lassie Stakes, Leo Handicap, Independence Day Stakes, etc. Alamitos May is the dam of Aladuino, si 99, 13-time winner, with earnings of $430,669, El Primero Del Ano Derby-G1, Governor's Cup Derby, Governor's Cup Futurity, etc. May Day Rocket is also the dam of DGR Easy Rocket, si 106 (by Easy Illusion), 7 wins, $14,660, Oneida County Fair Futurity, 2nd Pocatello Downs Spring Derby; and Tyson Illusion, si 93 (by Easy Illusion), 2 wins at 3, $5,120, 3rd Oneida County Fair Futurity, Teton Futurity.

DK Give alittle bit is very well-made mare with a sweet disposition, a lot of heart and plenty of intelligence. She is a very pretty and has a lot of class. We were thrilled to be able to purchase her from her breeder/owner Don Knopp.

Katie foaled a very nice Rare News filly in 2009, and another beautiful Rare News filly in 2010. She is in foal to Rare News for a 2012 foal.

SOLD 12-15-11. DK Give Alittle Bit has been purchased by Shady Stables, of Farmington, Utah. She will raise nice racehorses for these good people!
