His sire is an own son of Triple's Image out of Ruffy McLeo.

Wow! This stout colt is going to be some kind of barrel futurity, tie-down roping or steer roping horse — or maybe a reining, working cow or halter horse. He is one strong, well-made, beautiful and nicely-bred horse!

Jess THE HOTS (not "Instant Romance," but just "the hots") is a handsome red roan colt by Instant Romance, an own son of Triple's Image (by Triple Chick). He is out of Jessina, si 81, by Mr Jess Perry, si 113. Jess The Hots is Jessina's first foal.

This colt's dam is a big (16 hands), classy sorrel mare, well-muscled and correct. From only two starts at two, Jessina was once 2nd and earned $1,987. His 2nd dam, Dashing Millie, si 92 (by First Down Dash) is a stakes winner with earnings of $83,702. His 3rd dam is a race winner and stakes producer, his 4th dam is a stakes winner and stakes placed producer.

His pedigree connects him to the great Three Bars top and bottom, through Triple Chick, Three Chicks, Rocket Bar TB, Lena's Bar TB, Barred, McBarr TB, and St Bar. He also crosses many times to Leo. He has the influence of some of the grandest of granddams in his pedigree: Chicado V, Della Moore, Do Good and Garretts Miss Pawhuska.

Up close, Jess has the influence of his grandsire, Mr Jess Perry, si 113, two-time Champion and a leading sire of stakes winners and money earners. He is also a great-grandson of the phenomenal First Down Dash, si 105, a racing World Champion and the all-time leading sire of AQHA money earners.

Jess The Hots has a lot of good bone, a nice hip and shoulder and a pretty head. He has a very nice personality. All in all, this little roan colt is very outstanding.
