"eLLIOT" (official name
pending with AQHA) is a nice, big 2-year-old gelding by First
Down Dash son Rare News out of Countess
Jackamo (by Count Giacomo TB).
His owner is in the
United States military and will be deployed to Iraq. Therefore, she
has to sell Elliot, her prospective barrel horse.
Elliot has great
ground manners. He's been blanketed, trimmed regularly and saddled 3
to 4 times a week. His owner hauled him every week last summer with
her older horses to the barrel races. He's been worked in the round
pen and messed with a lot. Nothing ever bothers this athletic colt.
He is very accepting of new things, very level-headed.
This
correct, intelligent horse is a grandson of
First Down Dash. He has
Lady Bug's Moon twice in his
pedigree and the genetics to be a powerful, fast horse in the arena
-- or wherever he goes. Elliot is too nice to stand around while his
owner is overseas. He is so easy to work with, yet he has the
necessary fire and desire to be very competitive, too. Elliot has a
lot of potential that needs to be utilized.
The pictures on this
page were taken early last fall
when Elliot was still just a
yearling! New pictures will be coming soon.
Right now, Elliot is
in Butte, Montana. His paperwork
has been sent to AQHA and his
registration is pending. He is priced to sell at $6,000. Don't let
him get away! Contact his owner, Kris Phillips, phone (760)
