A Lil Streakin Jewel's
great big 2008 foal -- a filly -- arrived early in the morning of May 4th. She's
a big, tall filly with a lot of bone. She's sorrel with a nice blaze, a white
stocking on the rear, and a left rear sock. She looks great and travels
really well -- for an outrageously big newborn! Her name is Newsrageous.

filly's sire is Rare News, si 92 (by First Down
Dash). She's out of A Lil Streakin Jewel, si 99 (by Streakin Jewel).
Newsrageous is a full-sister to A News Streak,
si 99, a 3-time stakes finalist. From 8 starts at 2 (in 2007), A News Streak has
one 1st, three 2nds, a speed index of 99 and earnings of $8,622. He was a
finalist in the Ford Northwest Juvenile Challenge-G3 (finished 4th).

(we call her "Jed" or "Jeddy") has a lot of good
bone and muscle. She looks pretty racy, too -- and she likes to run. When she fills out, she is going
to really be something!
Newsrageous has an outgoing, curious personality, she's bold,
and not
much scares
her (as is typical of Rare News foals). She likes to
irritate her mother by taking off and running across the pasture unattended.
She's a very nice
filly with a lot of potential. We really like her!

Newsrageous has been purchased by Tod & Mike Spencer of
Afton, WY. She will go to Wyoming once she is weaned. Newsrageous will race in
the Intermountain West in 2010. Remember her name! Congratulations to her new
owners!
