Famous Bugs - My Brown Berry, My Leroy Brown

This very nice filly (name pending with AQHA) is by Famous Bugs out of My Brown Berry (by My Leroy Brown).

Her sire, Famous Bugs, lifetime barrel earnings of more than $52,000, is bred to be a barrel sire through and through. He is a son of the near-legendary Dash Ta Fame out of AAA daughter of Bugs Alive in 75. (His dam, Ms Wahini Bug, was Equi-Stat's 2007 #1 producing daughter of Bugs Alive in 75.) Famous Bugs' bottom line takes him to the great Sugar Bars. Famous Bugs is the top barrel money earnings son of Dash Ta Fame standing to the public. (He stands at Bob's Pawn Shop in Dodge City, Kansas.)

Her dam, My Brown Berry, is also barrel breeding at its best. An injury as a young futurity horse ended My Brown Berry's promising career. My Brown Berry is a daughter of My Leroy Brown, si 94, the sire of multiple performance and race horses.

My Brown Berry's dam, Go Strawberry Go, si 84, is a talented mare that earned over $50,000 barrel racing, including 2 year-end championships in 2 different amateur rodeo associations in Canada. Her dam, A Lil Streakin Jewel, si 99, is a stakes-placed winner. From 10 racing starts at 2 and 3, she had a record of 2-3-1. She finished 2nd in the Great Falls HRA Futurity. A Lil Streakin Jewel is the dam of 5 foals, 4 of racing age, 3 starters, including race winner A News Streak, si 99 (also by Rare News), $20,407, Finalist in Northwest Juvenile Challenge-G3, and Newsrageous, speed index of 91 on only out as a 2-year-old (2010).

Lily is very broke and very willing. She loves being worked and tries hard to do everything asked. She's an easy hauler, travels well, loves attention, and is very respectful on the ground. She is smart and wants to please. She loves loping the barrels!

Lily will be ready to futurity in 2012. She's a great candidate for the BFA in OKC. She is being ridden and trained by Jana Perry (her owner), and buyer has the option to purchase and leave in training with Jana. Her price will go up with time, riding and hauling. (Lily is currently in Oklahoma with her owner.)
