 THE GIVER
is an athletic and beautiful filly by
Rare News, si 92, multiple G1 stakes
performing son of First Down Dash, out of
DK Give Alittle Bit, si 97, by
Three-Time Racing Champion Separatist, si 101.
The Giver (we call her "Maddie") is a very well-made filly with some
good hocks, a
nice hip, strong forearms and a lot of attitude. She has a deep heart
girth and a nice shoulder. She will likely be a dark chestnut, like her sire. The Giver has some odd face
markings -- looks like she had a wide blaze and someone came in and
erased a chunk of it! At least she'll always be recognizable in a crowd!
Injuries prevented
her dam, DK Give Alittle Bit, from a promising race career as a
2-year-old. From just 7 starts, DK
Give
Alittle Bit was a stakes finalist (4th John Hoak/Capitol Futurity), earned a 97 speed index, and finished with 3 seconds and 1 third.
She
earned $5,606.
No one knows how good this little horse with a big
heart
might have been. In all but her first start and her last start (when she
was injured), she never finished a race
with a speed index of
less than a 90. In spite of ailments, she always ran with everything
she had.
Her 2nd dam, The Rainbow Riva,
si 95 (by Zevi TB), is a 4-time
winner (in
6 starts at 2), with earnings of $20,049.
She won the Cowboy Classic Futurity-G3. The Rainbow Riva is dam of 10
foals of racing age, 6
winners,
10 ROM, with earnings of $171,798 -- including:
